VARELLA LE 2802 is a wool beanie for autumn and winter, in a medium-weight beanie style with a turn-up brim. It is ready to ship, so we can send it out without any waiting time for production.
VARELLA in a pink and burgundy melange
This style is for you if you are looking for a close-fitting winter beanie with a defined rib and a wide turn-up. It works well from the colder days of late autumn through winter. It stands out with a mix of muted pink, burgundy, purple and warm browns arranged in an irregular melange. Aga makes beanies throughout the year in advance, which is why our handmade pieces are ready to ship even when the season is already underway.
Wool and contact with the forehead
This style is made from yarn with a composition of 75% wool, 25% polyamide. Wool helps retain warmth, while polyamide strengthens the yarn. The knit surface is smooth, without a fuzzy halo. This beanie may be noticeable on the forehead for very sensitive skin.
Turn-up style and flexible rib knit
VARELLA is a fitted beanie with a single rib stitch and a wide turn-up that gives a neat line at the forehead. The beanie is handmade on a knitting machine and has a more structured shape rather than a slouchy one. If you need a different size, please contact us.
- The single rib stretches well, so the beanie adjusts more easily to the shape of the head.
- The wool content helps retain warmth on colder autumn days and in winter.
- Polyamide strengthens the yarn, so the beanie handles frequent wear better.
- Medium pilling resistance means signs of wear may appear on the surface over time with regular use.
- The wide turn-up adds an extra layer of knit over the ears and forehead.
- The melange colour mix gives the simple shape more depth, so this chunky beanie does not look flat despite its smooth surface.
Details and care
There is a faux leather Nitkowe Love label on the turn-up. See also other ready-to-ship handmade wool pieces. Wool should be hand washed in water up to 30°C with a gentle wool detergent, for example SOAK wash; wash in lukewarm water, as hot water causes thicker wool knits to felt irreversibly.
