100% alpaca and skin contact
This style is made from 100% alpaca. The fibre is valued for being lightweight and offering good insulation without much weight, and its surface gives a subtle, softly diffused sheen. This beanie may feel slightly itchy on very sensitive skin — this is due to the alpaca fibres being mechanically noticeable at the forehead, not because of any irritating ingredient. The yarn is certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
Shape and proportions
This is a fitted beanie with a turn-up brim and an all-over double rib stitch. The turn-up is wide and clearly defined, while the crown keeps a soft beanie shape. In this texture, the burgundy colour gains depth, as the raised ribs catch the light differently from the recessed parts of the knit.
