Grey VARELLA for everyday wear and trips away
This style is for you if you are looking for a fitted beanie without a heavy look. The muted, cool grey shade pairs easily with black, navy and beige. This cuffed beanie works well with everyday outfits, from a coat to a jacket. It also makes a good gift.
Baby merino and skin contact
This merino wool beanie is made from 100% baby merino. Baby merino is the name for a yarn made from very fine, smooth fibres that are gentle enough to be suitable for children as well. The surface of the knit is smooth, without a fuzzy finish, and this model is marked as suitable for sensitive skin. The yarn is certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, which means it has been tested for harmful substances.
Turned-up cuff and flexible fit
VARELLA is a fitted cuffed beanie made in a single rib stitch. The wide cuff gives a neat line around the face, while the vertical rib pattern creates a calm, clean look. If you need a different size, please contact us.
- The elastic fibre returns to shape, so the beanie does not stretch out during the day.
- The medium weight works well for the colder part of the year, without feeling bulky for everyday wear.
- The cuff adds an extra layer across the forehead and ears, which improves comfort on windy days.
- The single rib stitch helps with the fit, so the merino wool beanie sits better against the head.
- The smooth, even knit in grey marl pairs easily with different outerwear and accessories.
- Resistance to pilling is moderate, so with regular use natural signs of wear may appear gradually.
Finishing and care
The beanie has an eco-leather label with the Nitkowe Love name. If you would like to see other ready-to-ship handmade wool pieces, take a look at that section.
Merino wool should be washed by hand in water up to 30°C, using a gentle wool detergent, for example SOAK wash; we recommend the same wash for bras, so many customers already have it at home.
